About Chisholm Trail Middle School

Chisholm Trail Middle School, located in Rhome, serves families in the northwestern part of Northwest ISD, providing a community atmosphere for families with its student-focused mindset.

The school is named after the historic Texas trail that was used to transport longhorns and other cattle. Chisholm Trail serves as a fitting name for the school, as the route went through the area to Kansas, and cattle ranching remains a popular sight in the area to this day.

At Chisholm Trail, students are provided with an academic experience that pushes boundaries and encourages experimentation. The school is home to an award-winning STEAM – science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics – club, which has won awards across a variety of categories in different competitions.

Chisholm Trail is known for treating all students with equal respect and lofty educational standards. The school has been named to the Texas Schools to Watch list three consecutive times for its commitment to these ideals.
